Amazing Antique Repousse 800 Silver frame Silk Paisley Hand Bag & Coin purse Set
This beautiful suede and Coin Silver(800/1000 silver) purse date back to the turn of the century. It has a lovely pleated silk exterior and satin lining. The exterior is a beautifully woven Paisley pattern in gold, green and burgundy silk.
These luxurious fabrics are all held together by a lovely Silver frame that features a romantic cupid under a banner surrounded by flowers. The brackets for strap are swans and the clasp is pine cones. It measures 9.5"L X 8"H with a 8 drop.
The total weight of the purse is 249g. The frame is marked 800 and made in Italy, as well as a word double struck, so it's hard to read. I've tried to show you in the photos.
The change purse is gilded coin silver, as I believe the main purses frame originally was. It is maked COIN in 2 places inside, but it is over the Reeded inside surface so it's hard to make out.
