Here we have a beautiful sounding full size, American violin, by Jackson-Guldan Violin Company, Columbus, Ohio. Label inside reads: Model, Antonious Stradivarius Cremonenfis Faciebat Anno 17 no. 5 ½ Jackson-Guldan Violin Company, Columbus, Ohio. The tone of this instrument is lovely, quite deep in the lower regions, yet clear and sweet in the upper regions.
The overall condition of this violin is in very good condition, made around the 1920's, with no open seams or repairs, set up with a new Maple bridge, new tailpiece with four built in integral tuners, for precise tuning, Ebony chinrest, plus four new Ebony tuning pegs, with Parisian eye, and an Ebony finger board. The top is made from fine grained Spruce, and the back is made from highly flamed Maple, set up with Thomastik strings, plays beautifully. Comes with a good quality, wooden hard case, with bow, and Rosin. All in all, a good quality, American violin, that sounds as good as it looks, all ready to play.
