Welcome to another listing of a Taylor Made Longbows Longbow, I have been an archer with the North lakes field archers club, using longbows for many years and i have been making longbows for around four years. I use many different types of hardwood to create my bows, each wood had its own beauty, character and strengths. I prefer to use hand made. Traditional methods when creating my longbows, its a real passion of mine!

The longbow in this listing is a performance quad laminate comprising of a Bamboo backing, and three laminates of ipe, this longbow shoots very fast for its weight, it is very thin and light and it shoots beautifully with zero handshock, it has been made very similarly to the chris boyton performance longbow spec. It has been tillered to a full compass shape (medieval style)basically the bow bends through the entirety of its limbs giving a semi circular shape at full draw, unlike a target bow tiller which was invented by the Victorians which has stiffer sections at the limb tips and either side of the handle. The draw weight of this bow is 24lb at 26 inches. The length from nock to nock is 66 inches. The string is a flemish twist in brown and red b55 10 strand dacron string....

I've also included a bow stringer to make sure the bow is correctly strungto avoid irregular bending and stress on the limbs! And making it easier to string the bow. The nocks are made from traditional ox horn, all polished up to aid the stringing process. This bow is suitable for a right handed archer which is indicated by the ethically sourced paua shell arrow pass. The handle is made from genuine leather giving excellent grip and comfort and also acts as a brilliant shock absorber. I've also built 2 and a half inches of forward set into the limbs ensuring longevity and power. Finally this bow has been finished with a coat of danish oil and 4 coats of tru oil, giving it a beautiful, very tough, glossy finish. This will help protect it from the elements and any scrapes and scuffs, and making it feel nice and smooth in the hand.
