Vintage 1960s Japanese Yukata Kimono 4 Pc w/ Obi Belt Bow wood shoes Authentic. This vintage late 1960s Yukata complete with Ori Belt, Bow and wood shoes was custom made for a client of mine who travel the world teaching on military bases.

Now she is to move into assisted living, and wants her treasures to go to good homes. The yukata was handmade by the grandmother of one of her the student. She tells me All Japanese yukatas are a standard size and she could never could find one long enough in both them hem and sleeves, because she is taller than most Japanese. So the students grandmother made it for her.

She taught in Japan from 1967 to 1969 at Grants Heights Air Force Base where she was teaching with the Dept of Defense She received this set as a gift for teach prior to moving on to her next teaching assignment. I believe the fabric is a batik, overall very good condition however, there are a few stains on the yukata as it has been stored in the closet for many many years.

I would think these should come off, see last picture, and I have circled one of them. She doesn't remember ever wearing it, but has shown it off over the years. Yukata cut a measures approximately 64" long by 51"from end of sleeve to end of sleeve. Obi belt and bow are in good condition, but a little dusty. Wood shoes look like they may have been worn once if at all and I are in very good condition.
